Maxine Carr
Maxine Carr is a British woman known for her involvement in the case of the murder of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002. She was the former girlfriend of Ian Huntley, who was convicted of the murders. Carr provided a false alibi for Huntley during the investigation, which led to her arrest.
After the trial, Carr was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for perverting the course of justice. Following her release, she faced significant public backlash and was placed under police protection due to concerns for her safety.
