Maturidi
Maturidi is a theological school of thought within Islam that emerged in the 10th century, founded by the scholar Abu Mansur al-Maturidi. This school emphasizes the use of reason and intellect in understanding faith, arguing that human beings can discern moral truths through rational thought, alongside divine revelation.
Maturidi theology primarily focuses on the nature of God, the attributes of humans, and the concept of free will. It seeks to reconcile faith with reason, asserting that belief in God is not solely based on scripture but also on logical understanding, which distinguishes it from other theological perspectives like Ash'arism.
