Matilda of Habsburg
Matilda of Habsburg was a notable figure in the late 13th century, born around 1253. She was a member of the influential Habsburg family, which played a significant role in European politics. Matilda was the daughter of Rudolf I of Habsburg, the first king of the Romans from the Habsburg dynasty.
In 1273, she married Henry VII of Luxembourg, strengthening the ties between the Habsburgs and the Luxembourg dynasty. Matilda's marriage helped to solidify political alliances in the Holy Roman Empire, and she became the mother of several children, including John of Luxembourg, who later became king of Bohemia.
