The Mask of Tutankhamun is a gold funerary mask that belonged to the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, who ruled during the 18th dynasty. Discovered in 1922 by archaeologist Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings, the mask is made of gold and inlaid with precious stones. It is one of the most famous artifacts from ancient Egypt, symbolizing the wealth and artistry of the time.
The mask measures about 54 centimeters tall and weighs approximately 11 kilograms. It was designed to cover the head and shoulders of the mummified pharaoh, serving both a protective and decorative purpose. The intricate details, including the blue and gold colors, reflect the craftsmanship of ancient Egyptian artisans.
