Mashriqu'l-Adhkár
The Mashriqu'l-Adhkár, also known as the "Dawning Place of the Remembrance of God," is a Bahá'í House of Worship located in various parts of the world. It serves as a spiritual center where people of all backgrounds can gather for prayer, meditation, and community activities. Each House of Worship is designed to reflect the principles of unity and inclusivity central to the Bahá'í Faith.
The first completed Mashriqu'l-Adhkár is in Wilmette, Illinois, near Chicago, and was dedicated in 1953. It features nine sides, symbolizing the unity of all religions, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The architecture and design aim to inspire visitors and promote a sense of peace and harmony.
