Masai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara National Reserve is a renowned wildlife reserve located in southwestern Kenya. It covers approximately 1,510 square kilometers and is famous for its diverse ecosystems, including savannahs, woodlands, and riverine forests. The reserve is home to a wide variety of animals, including the "Big Five": lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses.
Each year, the Masai Mara hosts the spectacular Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras travel from the Serengeti in Tanzania to find fresh grazing grounds. This natural phenomenon attracts tourists and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world, making the reserve a key destination for eco-tourism.
