Mary Ingalls
Mary Ingalls was the older sister of Laura Ingalls Wilder, the famous author of the Little House on the Prairie series. Born on January 10, 1865, in Pipestone, Minnesota, Mary was known for her intelligence and strong character. She became blind at a young age due to an illness, which significantly impacted her life and the lives of her family members.
Despite her challenges, Mary pursued education and attended the Iowa College for the Blind in Vinton, Iowa. She later became a teacher, inspiring many with her determination.
