Charles Ingalls
Charles Ingalls was an American pioneer and farmer, best known as the father of author Laura Ingalls Wilder. He was born on January 10, 1836, in New York and spent much of his life moving westward in search of better opportunities. His experiences as a homesteader in the American Midwest greatly influenced his daughter's writing.
Ingalls married Caroline Ingalls in 1860, and together they had five children. The family faced numerous challenges, including harsh weather and financial difficulties, but they persevered. Charles's life and values are depicted in the beloved Little House on the Prairie series, which reflects the struggles and triumphs of pioneer life.
