Mary Chaworth
Mary Chaworth was an English woman born in 1785, known for her connection to the poet Lord Byron. She was the daughter of a wealthy landowner and grew up in the village of Harrow on the Hill. Mary became the object of Byron's affection during their youth, and their relationship inspired some of his early poetry.
Despite their romantic feelings, Mary and Byron never married. She eventually married Henry John Chaworth in 1807, leading a life away from the literary spotlight. Mary Chaworth passed away in 1865, leaving behind a legacy intertwined with Byron's literary history.
