Mary Allerton was one of the early settlers of Plymouth Colony in present-day Massachusetts. She was born in 1616 in England and came to America on the Mayflower in 1620 with her family. Mary was the daughter of Isaac Allerton and Mary Norris, and she was just a child when she arrived in the New World. Mary Allerton lived through the hardships of the early colonial period and eventually married Joseph Mullins, the son of fellow Mayflower passenger William Mullins. She had several children and became a respected member of her community, contributing to the growth of the colony. Mary Allerton passed away in 1699.
