Maronite Order
The Maronite Order is a religious community within the Maronite Church, which is an Eastern Catholic Church in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. Founded in the 12th century, the order focuses on spiritual growth, education, and service to the community. Its members, known as Maronite monks, live a life of prayer, contemplation, and charitable works.
The Maronite Order is dedicated to preserving the traditions and teachings of the Maronite faith, which has roots in the teachings of Saint Maron, a 4th-century hermit. The order plays a significant role in promoting the Maronite culture and values, particularly in regions with a significant Maronite population, such as Lebanon.
