Maronite Christianity
Maronite Christianity is a branch of the Eastern Catholic Church that follows the teachings of Jesus Christ while maintaining its own unique traditions and liturgy. It originated in the 4th century in the region of Syria and is named after Saint Maron, a hermit whose followers established the Maronite community.
Maronites are primarily found in Lebanon, where they form a significant part of the population, but they also have communities in other countries. The Maronite Church is in full communion with the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church, while preserving its distinct identity and practices.
