Marine Turtles
Marine turtles are large reptiles that live in oceans around the world. They are known for their streamlined bodies and flippers, which help them swim efficiently. There are seven species of marine turtles, including the Leatherback and Green Turtle. These turtles spend most of their lives in the water but return to land to lay eggs on sandy beaches.
Marine turtles are important for marine ecosystems as they help maintain healthy seagrass beds and coral reefs. They primarily feed on jellyfish, seaweed, and other marine organisms. Unfortunately, many species are threatened due to habitat loss, pollution, and hunting, making conservation efforts crucial for their survival.
