Marienkäfern
Marienkäfer, also known as ladybugs, are small, round beetles that are often brightly colored, typically red or orange with black spots. They belong to the family Coccinellidae and are found in various habitats, including gardens, forests, and fields. These insects are beneficial to agriculture as they feed on pests like aphids, helping to control their populations.
Marienkäfer undergo complete metamorphosis, which includes four stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. The larvae are elongated and can be mistaken for small alligators. Adult Marienkäfer can live for several months and are known for their ability to fly, which aids in their search for food and mates.
