Margaret of York
Margaret of York was born on May 3, 1446, as the daughter of Richard Plantagenet, Duke of York and Cecily Neville. She was a member of the English royal family during the tumultuous period of the Wars of the Roses. In 1466, she married Charles the Bold, the Duke of Burgundy, which strengthened the alliance between England and Burgundy.
Margaret played a significant role in the political landscape of her time. As a duchess, she was involved in court politics and diplomacy, particularly in her efforts to secure support for her family's claims to the English throne. She died on November 23, 1503.
