Margaret of Norway
Margaret of Norway was born in 1283 and became the Queen of Scotland at a young age. She was the daughter of Eric II of Norway and Margaret of Scotland. Her marriage to Alexander III of Scotland was intended to strengthen ties between Norway and Scotland.
Margaret's reign was short-lived; she died in 1290 at just seven years old. Her death led to a succession crisis in Scotland, as she was the last direct descendant of David I of Scotland. This event ultimately contributed to the Wars of Scottish Independence.
