Margaret Of France
Margaret of France (1283-1318) was a French princess, the daughter of King Philip III of France and Isabella of Aragon. She became the Queen of Scotland through her marriage to King Edward I of England’s son, King John Balliol. Her marriage was part of a political alliance aimed at strengthening ties between France and Scotland.
Margaret's life was marked by the turbulent political landscape of the time. After her husband's deposition in 1296, she returned to France, where she lived until her death. Despite her royal status, her influence was limited due to the conflicts between England and Scotland.
