Marcus Luttrell is a former United States Navy SEAL known for his service during the War in Afghanistan. He was part of a reconnaissance mission in 2005 that went awry, leading to a fierce battle with Taliban forces. Luttrell was the only survivor of his team, which included three other SEALs. After his military service, Luttrell became a public speaker and author. He wrote the book Lone Survivor, which recounts his experiences during the mission and the challenges he faced afterward. The book was later adapted into a film, further raising awareness of the sacrifices made by military personnel.
