Manuel Ávila Camacho
Manuel Ávila Camacho was a Mexican politician and military leader who served as the President of Mexico from 1940 to 1946. Born on April 29, 1897, in the state of Puebla, he was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). His presidency focused on economic recovery and modernization following the turmoil of the Mexican Revolution.
During his time in office, Ávila Camacho promoted industrialization and infrastructure development, which helped stabilize the Mexican economy. He also maintained a neutral stance during World War II, although he supported the Allies by providing resources. He passed away on April 13, 1955.
