The Manikya Dynasty was a royal family that ruled the region of Tripura in northeastern India. Established in the 15th century, the dynasty is known for its contributions to the culture, architecture, and governance of the area. The dynasty's influence peaked during the 19th century when it saw significant political and economic development. The last king of the Manikya Dynasty, Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Debbarma, ruled until the integration of Tripura into the Indian Union in 1949, marking the end of the monarchy in the region.
