Malwa Sultanate
The Malwa Sultanate was a medieval Indian state that existed from the late 15th to the early 16th century. It was located in the region of Malwa, in present-day Madhya Pradesh. The sultanate emerged after the decline of the Delhi Sultanate and was known for its rich culture, architecture, and contributions to art and literature.
The sultanate was founded by Ghiyath Shah and later ruled by his son, Husain Shah, who expanded its territory. The Malwa Sultanate played a significant role in the political landscape of northern India and was eventually absorbed into the Mughal Empire under Akbar in the late 16th century.
