Maleku language
The Maleku language is an indigenous language spoken by the Maleku people in Costa Rica. It belongs to the Chibchan language family and is primarily used in the northern region of the country. The language is considered endangered, with a declining number of fluent speakers due to the influence of Spanish and modernization.
Efforts are being made to revitalize the Maleku language through educational programs and community initiatives. These efforts aim to preserve the cultural heritage of the Maleku people and ensure that future generations can learn and use their native language.
