Male Reproductive Organs
The male reproductive organs are primarily responsible for producing sperm and hormones, particularly testosterone. The main components include the testes, which produce sperm and hormones, and the epididymis, where sperm mature. Other important structures are the vas deferens, which transports sperm, and the seminal vesicles and prostate gland, which produce fluids that nourish and transport sperm.
During sexual arousal, sperm travel from the testes through the vas deferens and mix with fluids from the seminal vesicles and prostate gland to form semen. This mixture is then expelled through the urethra during ejaculation, allowing for reproduction.
