Malcolm IV
Malcolm IV was King of Scotland from 1153 until his death in 1165. He became king at a young age, around 12 years old, following the death of his grandfather, David I of Scotland. His reign was marked by efforts to consolidate power and expand the influence of the Scottish crown.
Despite his youth, Malcolm IV faced challenges, including conflicts with the English crown and internal disputes among the Scottish nobility. He was known for his piety and support of the church, which earned him the nickname "the Maiden." Malcolm IV died without heirs, leading to the ascension of his brother, William the Lion.
