Makalu-Barun Conservation Area
The Makalu-Barun Conservation Area is located in the eastern region of Nepal, covering an area of approximately 1,500 square kilometers. It is home to the majestic Makalu, the fifth highest mountain in the world, and features diverse ecosystems ranging from subtropical forests to alpine meadows.
