Main Belt
The Main Belt is a region in space located between the orbits of the planets Mars and Jupiter. It contains a vast number of small rocky bodies known as asteroids. These asteroids vary in size, composition, and shape, and they are remnants from the early solar system that never coalesced into a planet.
The Main Belt is home to many well-known asteroids, such as Ceres, which is classified as a dwarf planet, and Vesta, one of the largest asteroids. The study of these objects helps scientists understand the formation and evolution of our solar system.
