Mahinda
Mahinda is a prominent figure in Sri Lankan history, known for being a key leader in the spread of Buddhism on the island. He was the son of Emperor Ashoka, who was instrumental in promoting Buddhism across India. Mahinda's arrival in Sri Lanka around the 3rd century BCE marked the beginning of a significant cultural and religious transformation in the region.
