Mahesh Bhupathi
Mahesh Bhupathi is a former professional tennis player from India, known for his achievements in doubles and mixed doubles events. Born on June 7, 1974, in Chennai, he became the first Indian to win a Grand Slam title in 1997, partnering with Leander Paes in the French Open mixed doubles.
Throughout his career, Bhupathi won a total of 12 Grand Slam titles, including five in mixed doubles and seven in men's doubles. He was also a key player in promoting tennis in India and has contributed to the sport through various initiatives, including the establishment of the Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academy.
