Maharaja of Udaipur
The Maharaja of Udaipur is the title given to the rulers of the former princely state of Mewar in Rajasthan, India. The city of Udaipur, known for its beautiful lakes and palaces, served as the capital of Mewar. The royal family, descended from the legendary Sisodia clan, has a rich history dating back to the 6th century.
The current head of the royal family is Maharana Arvind Singh, who holds the title of Maharaja. Although the monarchy was abolished after India's independence in 1947, the Maharaja still plays a ceremonial role and is involved in various cultural and charitable activities in the region.
