Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh
Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh was the last ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. Born on July 21, 1931, he ascended the throne in 1970 after the death of his father, Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. His reign was marked by the transition of India from a monarchy to a democratic republic, leading to the eventual abolition of princely states in 1950.
Bhawani Singh was known for his contributions to the preservation of Rajasthani culture and heritage. He was also involved in various social and charitable activities, promoting education and health in his community. After his death on April 17, 2011, he left behind a legacy of service and dedication to his people.
