Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev
Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev was a 15th-century saint-scholar from Assam, India. He is best known for founding the Ekasarana Dharma, a monotheistic faith that emphasizes devotion to Lord Krishna. Sankardev was a prolific writer, composing numerous plays, poems, and songs that conveyed spiritual teachings and cultural values.
In addition to his religious contributions, Sankardev played a significant role in the cultural renaissance of Assam. He established the Namghar, a community prayer hall, which became a center for social and cultural activities.
