Maha Yana
Maha Yana, often referred to as the "Great Vehicle," is a major branch of Buddhism that emphasizes the path of compassion and the potential for all beings to achieve enlightenment. It encompasses a wide range of teachings and practices, including the veneration of Bodhisattvas, who are enlightened beings that delay their own nirvana to help others attain it.
This tradition is characterized by its inclusive approach, encouraging followers to engage in practices that benefit not only themselves but also others. Maha Yana texts, such as the Lotus Sutra and the Heart Sutra, provide guidance on the nature of reality and the importance of altruism in the spiritual journey.
