Magic Squares
A magic square is a grid of numbers arranged in such a way that the sum of each row, column, and both main diagonals is the same. This constant sum is known as the magic constant. Magic squares can vary in size, with the smallest being a 1x1 square, and they can contain different sets of numbers, typically consecutive integers.
The most famous magic square is the Lo Shu Square, a 3x3 grid from ancient China. Magic squares have fascinated mathematicians and puzzle enthusiasts for centuries, leading to various studies and applications in areas like combinatorics and number theory.
