Magellan Telescopes
The Magellan Telescopes are a pair of optical telescopes located at the Las Campanas Observatory in Chile. Named after the famous explorer Ferdinand Magellan, these telescopes are designed to observe distant celestial objects and contribute to our understanding of the universe. Each telescope has a primary mirror measuring 6.5 meters in diameter, allowing for high-resolution imaging.
These telescopes are part of a larger effort in modern astronomy to study galaxies, stars, and other astronomical phenomena. The Magellan Telescopes have been instrumental in various research projects, including the study of exoplanets and the formation of galaxies, enhancing our knowledge of the cosmos.
