Magellan Penguin
The Magellan Penguin is a medium-sized penguin species native to the coasts of South America, particularly in Argentina and Chile. They are easily recognizable by their distinctive black and white coloring, with a characteristic band of white feathers that runs from their eyes to their necks. These penguins typically grow to about 24 inches tall and weigh between 5 to 14 pounds.
Magellan Penguins are social birds that often nest in large colonies. They primarily feed on small fish and squid, which they catch while swimming. During the breeding season, they build nests in burrows or under bushes, where they lay two eggs that both parents help to incubate.
