Macropods
Macropods are a family of marsupials native to Australia and nearby islands, known for their large feet. This group includes species such as kangaroos, wallabies, and quokkas. They are characterized by their strong hind legs, which allow them to hop efficiently, and their long tails, which help with balance.
These animals are herbivorous, primarily feeding on grasses and leaves. Macropods have a unique digestive system that allows them to break down tough plant material. They are social creatures, often found in groups, and play an important role in their ecosystems by aiding in seed dispersal and maintaining vegetation.
