Maasvlakte
Maasvlakte is a large expansion of the port area in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was created by land reclamation from the North Sea, with the first phase completed in 1996 and the second phase finished in 2013. This project significantly increased the port's capacity and improved its facilities for shipping and logistics.
The Maasvlakte is home to several modern container terminals and industrial zones, making it one of the busiest ports in the world. It plays a crucial role in international trade, serving as a key hub for goods entering and leaving Europe.
