MS Stockholm
The MS Stockholm is a Swedish passenger ship that was launched in 1948. It was designed for transatlantic travel and operated primarily between Sweden and North America. The ship is known for its elegant Art Deco interiors and has a capacity of around 1,000 passengers.
In 1956, the MS Stockholm gained notoriety after a tragic collision with the Italian liner Andrea Doria off the coast of Nantucket. The accident resulted in the sinking of the Andrea Doria, but the MS Stockholm remained afloat, leading to significant changes in maritime safety regulations.
