MRI Scanner
An MRI scanner is a medical imaging device that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the inside of the body. It is particularly useful for examining soft tissues, such as the brain, muscles, and organs, helping doctors diagnose various conditions without the need for invasive procedures.
During an MRI scan, the patient lies on a table that slides into a large, tube-shaped machine. The process is painless and typically lasts between 15 to 90 minutes. Patients may hear loud tapping or thumping noises during the scan, but they are not exposed to radiation, making MRI a safe imaging option.
