MONUSCO
MONUSCO, or the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a peacekeeping mission established by the United Nations in 2010. Its primary goal is to support the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in maintaining peace and security, particularly in areas affected by conflict and violence.
The mission focuses on protecting civilians, supporting the disarmament of armed groups, and promoting human rights. MONUSCO also assists in the organization of elections and the strengthening of state institutions to foster stability and development in the region.
