M50 motorway
The M50 motorway is a major road in Ireland that encircles the capital city, Dublin. It serves as a key route for both local and national traffic, connecting various suburbs and facilitating access to important areas such as Dublin Airport and the Dublin Port.
Opened in stages between 1990 and 2005, the M50 is approximately 75 kilometers long. It features multiple lanes in each direction and includes several interchanges that link to other major roads, enhancing connectivity across the region. The motorway is also equipped with electronic tolling systems to manage traffic flow.
