Lystrosaurus
Lystrosaurus was a genus of herbivorous reptiles that lived during the late Permian and early Triassic periods, around 250 million years ago. It is known for its distinctive, stout body, short legs, and large, tusk-like teeth, which were adapted for feeding on tough vegetation.
This creature was one of the few survivors of the mass extinction event that marked the end of the Permian period. Fossils of Lystrosaurus have been found in various locations, including Africa, Antarctica, and India, indicating that it was a widespread species during its time.
