Lycian branch
The Lycian branch is a part of the ancient trade route known as the Lycian Way, located in southwestern Turkey. This scenic path stretches approximately 540 kilometers along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, connecting various historical sites and picturesque villages. It offers hikers a chance to explore the rich cultural heritage of the region, including ruins from the ancient Lycian civilization.
The trail is marked by distinctive waymarkers and provides access to stunning landscapes, including mountains, forests, and beaches. Along the route, travelers can discover ancient cities like Patara and Olympos, as well as natural wonders such as the Chimaera, a site known for its eternal flames.
