Luwian Script
The Luwian Script is an ancient writing system used primarily in Anatolia, modern-day Turkey, during the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age. It is associated with the Luwians, a group of Indo-European peoples who spoke the Luwian language. The script is typically written in hieroglyphic form and is known for its use in inscriptions on monuments and seals.
Luwian script consists of both logograms and syllabic signs, making it a complex system for recording the Luwian language. It was used alongside other scripts, such as Hittite cuneiform, and provides valuable insights into the culture and history of the region. The script fell out of use around the 1st millennium BCE as other writing systems became more dominant.
