Lunalilo
Lunalilo was the first elected king of the Hawaiian Kingdom, reigning from 1873 until his death in 1874. Born on January 31, 1835, he was a member of the Hawaiian royal family and was known for his efforts to promote the welfare of the Hawaiian people. His reign was marked by a commitment to democracy and social reform.
During his short time as king, Lunalilo worked to improve education and health care in Hawaii. He also sought to strengthen the monarchy's relationship with the people. After his death, he was succeeded by David Kalākaua, who would later become a significant figure in Hawaiian history.
