Luke 7:36-50
In Luke 7:36-50, a Pharisee named Simon invites Jesus to his home for a meal. During the dinner, a woman known for her sinful life enters, bringing an alabaster jar of perfume. She weeps at Jesus' feet, wipes them with her hair, kisses them, and anoints them with the perfume, demonstrating her deep remorse and love.
Simon questions Jesus' acceptance of the woman, prompting Jesus to tell a parable about two debtors. He explains that those forgiven much love much. Jesus then tells the woman her sins are forgiven, highlighting the theme of grace and repentance in the encounter.
