Luhansk People's Republic
The Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) is a self-proclaimed state in eastern Ukraine, established in April 2014 during the conflict between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists. It is located in the Luhansk Oblast and has sought independence from Ukraine, claiming to represent the interests of the local Russian-speaking population. The LPR is not recognized by Ukraine or most of the international community.
The LPR has its own government and military structures, but it relies heavily on support from the Russian Federation. The region has experienced significant violence and instability due to ongoing clashes with Ukrainian forces, contributing to a humanitarian crisis and displacement of residents.
