Loyalist Regiments
Loyalist Regiments were military units formed during the American Revolutionary War, composed of individuals who remained loyal to the British Crown. These regiments included soldiers from various backgrounds, including British loyalists, Native Americans, and enslaved individuals who fought in exchange for freedom. They played a significant role in supporting British forces against the American patriots.
Many Loyalist Regiments were organized in different colonies and participated in key battles throughout the war. Notable units included the Queen's Rangers and the British Legion. After the war, many loyalists faced persecution and fled to places like Canada and Britain for safety.
