Low-Carbon Steel
Low-carbon steel, also known as mild steel, contains a low percentage of carbon, typically less than 0.3%. This composition makes it ductile and malleable, allowing it to be easily shaped and welded. Due to its lower carbon content, low-carbon steel is less prone to brittleness compared to high-carbon steel. However, it is also less hard and wear-resistant.
