Loving-Kindness
Loving-Kindness, also known as Metta, is a practice rooted in Buddhism that focuses on developing an attitude of love and compassion towards oneself and others. It involves silently repeating phrases that express good wishes for oneself and for others, fostering feelings of warmth and kindness. This practice can help reduce negative emotions and promote emotional well-being.
The goal of Loving-Kindness is to cultivate an open heart and a sense of connection with all beings. It encourages individuals to extend their compassion beyond friends and family to include acquaintances and even those with whom they have conflicts, ultimately fostering a sense of universal love.
